A Comprehensive Learning Program versus a Personality Profile

Insights Discovery® is a preference-based learning system that uses colour as a common language for understanding self and understanding others.  The Insights Discovery® system has its foundations in the work of Swiss psychiatrist Dr. Carl Jung, who identified that we each have 2 personas - conscious and less conscious - and that it is important to understand the dynamics of how these personas interact with each other and the world around us.

Insights Discovery is used globally by organizations such as Boeing, BP, Microsoft and Zerox.

At its entry point, the Insights Discovery® learning system identifies four colour-energies – Cool Blue, Earth Green, Sunshine Yellow and Fiery Red.  Each of us uses these colour energies to varying degrees, though it is our unique ordering of the energies that will shape our personal style, and it will be our preference for one colour energy that will indicate our dominant or preferred style of thinking, working and communicating.

CEYA Workshops and session offer the option of an Insights Discovery® Foundation Chapter Personal Profile, a document unique to each individual that can reliably be used as a platform for self-understanding and development.  .

Foundation Chapter Personal Profiles include an overview of the individual’s personal style, strengths and weaknesses, communication styles, blind spots and suggestions for development.

Additional Chapters available include the Management Chapter, used in the CEYA Leadership Excellence© Workshop and the Sales Effectiveness Chapter, used in the CEYA Sales Excellence© Workshop.

Insights Discovery measures our conscious and less conscious personas, and the dynamics of  how the two personas interact in your life.

Rounded Rectangle: “Immediately after having my Insights Discovery profile done, I understood where I was putting extra effort at work to ‘get the job done’. It also identified my strengths and what comes easily to me.

Having this knowledge has given me a greater sense of control and will allow me to develop strategies to become more efficient not only in the workplace but also at home.” Rob Bonas, Firefighter, Port Moody
Rounded Rectangle: Comparison with Myers-Briggs

You may be familiar with the Myers-Briggs Psychological Type Indicator (MBTI). While MBTI and Insights Discovery are both based on the psychology of Dr. Jung, there are significant differences in the learning programs. For example, MBTI identifies 16 personality types compared to Insights Discovery’s 72 types.

MBTI’s evaluator questionnaire is very long and time consuming. Insights Discovery requires an online questionnaire of 25 questions that take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Dr. Jung identified that we each have a conscious and less conscious persona. Insights Discovery measures these and the dynamic of the relationship between these personas. MBTI only measures your conscious persona.
